Made from your photo
Your wedding day, the dog, a holiday view: you choose the picture and preview the finished mosaic before you order.
Something to do, not just own
Placing 1,156 glass tiles by number is quietly absorbing. Most people spread it over a few evenings with a cup of tea.
Ends up on display

Questions people ask
Is a Mixel a good gift for my wife?
If she enjoys relaxing, hands-on hobbies like jigsaws, cross-stitch or paint-by-numbers, a Mixel is a thoughtful personalised gift. It’s made from a photo you choose, gives her about 3 to 4 hours of calm building, and becomes a piece of glass wall art she made herself.
What exactly is a Mixel?
Mixel is a DIY glass mosaic kit made from your own photo. You upload a picture, preview it as a 30 × 30 cm mosaic, and receive 1,156 real coloured glass tiles in numbered pouches, a laser-engraved numbered wooden board and clear craft glue. You place the tiles by number, like paint-by-numbers in glass.
How much does a Mixel kit cost?
A Mixel kit costs £49 including VAT, with free Royal Mail Tracked 48 delivery anywhere in the UK. Europe is a flat £12 (5 to 8 working days) and the United States a flat £18 (7 to 10 working days).
How quickly does a Mixel arrive in the UK?
Every kit is laser-engraved and hand-packed in the UK within 48 hours. With free Royal Mail Tracked 48 it arrives in 3 to 4 working days in total, or 2 to 3 working days with Tracked 24 for £3 extra.
What photo works best?
A clear, well-lit photo with one main subject works best: a face, a pet, or a favourite place. You see the finished mosaic on screen before you order, so you can try a few photos and pick the one you like.
Upload a photo and see it as a glass mosaic in seconds. Nothing to pay until you’re happy.
