Mixel is a DIY craft kit—building it yourself is the fun part! Every box includes 1,156 coloured 8 mm glass tiles in numbered resealable pouches (plus ~5% spares), a laser-engraved numbered 30×30 cm FSC wooden board, and crystal-clear craft adhesive with a precision nozzle.

No. Our 8×8×4 mm Ottoman glass tiles are tumbled smooth so edges feel rounded like sea glass. Because they are real glass, we recommend them for crafters aged 14+ (or with adult supervision).

A 30×30 cm mosaic takes 4 to 8 hours of relaxed, screen-free crafting. The included craft glue gives you 10–15 minutes to nudge tiles into alignment, sets tacky in 20–30 minutes, and cures permanently within 24 hours—with no grouting needed.

Well-lit head-and-shoulders portraits of a single person, close-up pets, and bold graphic subjects work best. Yes! Open the Manual touch-up tools drawer underneath the board in the Interactive Studio to use the Pencil, Fill Bucket, or Eyedropper on any individual tile before adding to your basket.

Every kit is laser-engraved and hand-packed within 48 hours in our UK studio before dispatch:
• UK Standard (Royal Mail Tracked 48 — FREE): 3 to 4 working days total (48h packing + 48h delivery).
• UK Express (Royal Mail Tracked 24 — +£3.00): 2 to 3 working days total (48h packing + 24h delivery).
• Europe (Royal Mail International Tracked — £12.00): 5 to 6 working days total (48h packing + 3–4 days transit).
• United States (Royal Mail / USPS Tracked — £18.00): 6 to 8 working days total (48h packing + 4–6 days transit).

UK delivery is completely FREE on every order! Every Mixel kit (£49) includes complimentary Royal Mail Tracked 48 delivery (or Tracked 24 for +£3.00), flat £12.00 to Europe, and flat £18.00 to the US. Kits ship in a protective flat-pack parcel box (30×30 cm board) with full tracking updates via email.

Every kit includes ~5% spare tiles per colour. If you ever need extra tiles or if anything arrives damaged in transit, email [email protected] with your Order ID—we dispatch free replacement tiles or boards within 24–48 hours with no return required.

Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations (CCR 2013 Reg 28(1)(b)), bespoke made-to-order kits are exempt from standard 14-day cancellation once laser-cutting begins, but we provide a 2-hour grace period right after checkout to cancel for a full refund.
